You will find 2 pages in this form package. Once you print these 2 pages, please note where you are to sign. Please fill them out and fax them to me. Note: Texas Vet is only looking for a local Texas address. (if you are active and not here yet, or out of the country, you will have to wait until you arrive here in Texas). If you entered the military from a city in Texas, you can use your current address.
This form is extremely important to us gaining your Certificate of Eligibility from the VA. We will send this form to VA, and within 24 hours, we will have a Certificate of Eligibility for your loan.

This form gives me just enough information to Pre-Qualify you on a preliminary basis. There may be a few blanks that do not apply to you, so don’t worry about it. Most important thing is to make sure you give me your “legal name”, including your middle initial, Birthday & SS number. Also, quote me gross monthly income, and please note if you are a “Jr”. *** You must sign in the lower right to give us permission to pull your credit.
Property Tax Exemption Form for Disabled Vets
This is what you need to download, fill out, and take to your respective County Appraisal District.
Are you Active Military? If so, in order to gain your eligibility to use the Texas Vet Program, they require that your LES reads “TX” as your current home of residency. Please fill out this form and submit it to your finance office. Your next LES will reflect this change. Be sure to retain a copy of this form that you submitted. Note: you do not have to make this change permanent.
100% Disabled Property Tax Exemption Form
If you are 100% VA disabled or 80% or 90% VA disabled and listed as “unemployable”, you now have the right to file for an exemption for your property taxes on only your “primary residence”. That means only on the home that you live in. It is up to you to download this form, fill it out, attach proof of your 100% status, and take the paperwork to your local county Appraisal District Office. They will then approve your request, and waive all future real estate taxes on your home that you live in.
VA Form 26-8937 Verification of Indebtedness
If your Certificate of Eligibility shows non-exempt from the VA Funding Fee, and you are 10% or more Service Connected, the mortgage company must send this form to the VA in Houston to verify your status. Please download this form, print and fill it out, and fax or scan back to me.
